Jennifer has been teaching a variety of Sociology, English, Interdisciplinary, and Women's and Gender Studies courses at the University of Texas at Arlington since 2012. She has a PhD in Cultural Studies and a graduate certificate in Women's and Gender Studies from George Mason University. Her work appears in the Journal of Homosexuality, The European Journal of American Studies, Fast Capitalism, and Oxford Press's The Year in Critical and Cultural Theory. She co-edited The Dialectic of Digital Culture (2019) and has a forthcoming book, The Transformative Power of LGBTQ+ Children's Picture Books, under contract with the University Press of Mississippi.
